Faber Side Cafe & Cellar is a new cozy cafe located in the west — at Faber Road, of course! The cafe houses two concepts under one roof: mains from Faber Side and coffee from Roastworks Coffee. The interior is also aesthetically designed in a way that reminds us of someone’s cozy living room, lowkey a cute date spot

For mains, they have a wide selection, but what makes this place unique is that they serve local delights like nasi lemak, laksa and even prawn mee. We went with the Nasi Lemak ($10.90) — the rice was fragrant, though we would have preferred a stronger coconut taste. The chicken, however, was tender and delicious, and went pretty well with the sambal too!

They also offer all your favourite sides, including truffle fries and tater tots. Of course, we had to get the Tater Tots ($9.90)! Nothing can really go wrong with this classic side.

For drinks, coffee is served by the other concept, Roastworks Coffee. We went with the Mont Blanc ($8.80), which was a refreshing and creamy combination. Definitely one we’d recommend trying!

They’re also open from 8am onwards on weekends, so if you’re an early riser, you can definitely grab your breakfast here!
